  • Steps To Making Hot Chocolate
    Method One: Stove Top Method
    • 1 cups (8 oz) milk (non-fat to cream, as rich as you prefer)
    • 2 heaping tablespoons (40 grams) of Uddenberg’s premium hot chocolate
    • Cream (optional)
    • Optional flavourings, such as vanilla, herbs, and spices (cinnamon and nutmeg give nice notes to the finished drink), Mint liqueur, Bailey’s etc.
    • Whipped Cream (optional)
    • Marshmallows (optional)
    • Chocolate curls or shavings

Smash the stems of a few sprigs of fresh mint, and add them to the hot chocolate as it cooks; strain before serving, and add a fresh sprig to garnish. You can use mint extract if you don’t have fresh mint. It’s a fresher, zingier, more natural alternative to the peppermint stick approach (see Garnishes, below)—with no added calories!

  • Method Two: Froth Au Lait Powdered Frother
    • 1 cups (8 oz) milk (non-fat to cream, as rich as you prefer)
    • 2 heaping tablespoons (40 grams) of Uddenberg’s premium hot chocolate
    • Cream (optional)
    • Optional flavourings, such as vanilla, herbs, and spices (cinnamon and nutmeg give nice notes to the finished drink), Mint liqueur, Bailey’s etc.
    • Whipped Cream (optional)
    • Marshmallows (optional)
    • Chocolate curls or shavings

The basic recipe calls for about (40g, or 2 tbsp) chocolate per 8-ounce cup. Adjust this up or down depending on how rich you like your hot chocolate. You can add more chocolate per cup or less milk per cup—the choice is yours, depending on how chocolaty you like your hot chocolate!

    Directions:
Add 1 cup ( 8oz ) whole milk ( or milk of your choice ) to the Froth Au Lait and turn on machine to warm the milk ( caution: do not over heat or scaled the milk ) Add 2 tablespoons (40 grams) of hot chocolate mix into the frother, turn machine on again to continue the heating process. Pour into your favorite mug. For a more spectacular cup of hot chocolate the addition of whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate curls etc may be added….enjoy.

    Froth Au lait:
This is a small appliance the will heat and froth the milk making it lite and airy for a more full bodied cup of hot chocolate.
